Empowerment the word that is misunderstood in a big way. Today when we talk about empowerment, it is more about giving reservations. Well I was of the opinion that empowering someone is about making them capable so that they can compete with others. Are we really empowering people by giving reservations? Just imagine a 100 meter race. There is a person who doesn't have fitness levels or training available to compete against the best. Now what our logic of empowering that person is let him start at 90 meter mark (I hope I am not being too optimistic here ;)). He will beat Usain bolt who starts at zero mark (10 meter against 100 meter, he should do that ;)). Wow we have just empowered a person to beat the best in the world. Really? Isn't it unfair to the person starting at zero? Maybe not to that extent as it is for the one who starts at 90. Because every now & then he will be reminded of the fact that "You won because you started at 90 meters". Now w...

Have you ever imagined, How amazing is it to spend the entire night on footpath, it seems little different from sleeping on cushioned beds. How amazing is to stay without food for the whole day, it seems little different from having something to eat every hour. How amazing is to be without clothes in freezing temperatures, it seems little different from enjoying in snow wearing woolen jackets. How amazing is it to be without a roof in the sun raising intolerable heats, it seems little different from staying in air conditioned rooms. How amazing is to walk on stones bare foot, it seems little different from wearing footwear according to the occasion. If not then start imagining. Well it will be too optimistic but maybe that will change the way you think. And hopefully that change results in a good cause, again too optimistic I guess. ~ Neeraj

Hope is the reason why some people are alive. I wonder, if there was no hope, it would have been a different story altogether. Look into the eyes of needy, you will see hope. I have seen hope in the eyes of a child in the slums. Hope that someone will come and make his/her life worth living. Don't you think this is the time when one should have toys to play, books to read and food to eat. I have seen hope in the eyes of a mother sweeping floors in a bungalow. Hope that someday her family's life will become comfortable. Don't you think this is the time when she should have the right to be with her husband to see her children going to school every morning. I have seen hope in the eyes of a father working at the road. Hope that his family will get all the necessities to be alive. Don't you think this is time when he should be planning the future of his children. I have seen hope in the eyes of 70 year old lady begging for food. Hope that someone...

Many extremes exist in this world. On one side there is joy, luxury and on the other we have just the opposites.                                                 We enjoy winters, take out our sweaters, jackets & love to wear them. What about those who are not even sure whether they will survive this winter or not? Forget about sweaters & jackets, they don't even have a piece of cloth to cover their bare bodies. We enjoy different foods. Indian, Italian, English, Spanish & many more, I guess I will be short of space if I list all the categories. And there are people who don't even know whether they will have their next meal. What they really need is just a piece of bread. These Indian, Italian, English, Spanish etc are of no significance to them. For us getting three meals is a need but for them it is a luxury. We enjoy going to internat...

I knew it will happen one day, but wanted it to take a little longer. I knew everything will not be same, but wanted it to change little less. I knew someday I will have to move away, but wanted that moment to wait little more. But I forgot: "Whatever is there to happen, will happen, doesn't matter you want it or not.You are just characters of  the movie written by Almighty.So just try to play your role perfectly, who knows you may get rewarded for your fair play." Don't you know, even most of the sports events do have Fair Play Award now a days. Play for the title, but even if you don't get it at least score 100 percent in you fair play column. Hi Everyone, I am  sharing a small experience of my life & maybe everyone experiences this at least once in their lives. "Life was going as usual, boring and uninteresting and there came a moment that changed everything,the moment when you were in front of me and I was like "Is this the same world I used to live?" and when you stayed there for few more seconds, all my doubts were clear and now I was sure that it's a new world, the one which is more beautiful than the previous one. Now everything that used to be boring became interesting, everything that was silly had a meaning. I was so happy,everything was so beautiful. But soon realized that you were here just to change my life and not to be with me.
